RGBW RECESSED SPOTS

With the rise of LED, we have also gained access to ‘changeable light’. We are becoming aware of what an appropriate and pleasant atmosphere can do for us. The right atmosphere can have a positive contribution to people’s well-being and boost learning performance, but it can also make people consume more, for example in a restaurant.  In terms of changeable light, there are so many more possibilities than a few years ago. At first, it was only possible to switch between cold and warm light when you wanted to dim the light. Now light sources can emit colour light in addition to white light. Coloured light is expressed in RGB. RGB light, stands for the primary colours red, green, and blue. When you have an RGB spot, any desired colour can be emitted by the lamp, by mixing these primary colours.

WHAT IS A RGBW RECESSED SPOT?

As mentioned, a RGB spot emits the primary light colours, which can also be mixed to any colour. Besides the primary colours, a RGBW spot also has a warm-white LED. The big advantage of an RGBW spot is that you can choose more than 15 million colours, but you can still switch the spot with one push to the same Warm White colour.

The reason we chose to add the Warm White colour is because we can never create a 100% white light with the primary colours. By adding a separate high-quality white LED, you can use both coloured and white light. By adding a fraction of colour to white light, you can also create stylish warm colours and it will not become a “circus”. By adding a fraction of colour to white light, the RGBW spot will be lighter. A RGBW spot is therefore more efficient than a RGB spot. Ideal for lighting ceilings or creating more atmosphere in a restaurant.

RGBW RECESSED SPOT

When it comes to RGBW light, you can find a lot in shops like Action. This is often made of incredibly poor-quality materials and the lifespan is therefore worthless. In the professional light sector, RGBW lights are often produced as lighting for theatres. These spotlights are made to light stages and are therefore huge and expensive. Therefore, these lamps cannot be used in a residential home. However, we, at DYDELL, are expert in the technology of changeable and coloured light, we have a lot of experience in illuminating the hospitality industry, theatres, and private homes. Due to that, we have developed a unique and minimalistic recessed spot that can be trimless concealed in the ceiling with a plaster ring and which can emit one colour of white light (single white), can change from cool to warm white light (dual white), and can also emit coloured light (RGBW) in addition to white light. Our unique and minimalistic pin spotlight can easily be plastered or repainted in the colour of the ceiling.

Because we mix and cross the light in a unique way, we have made an opening 10 mm exactly at the intersection. The nice thing is that it creates a kind of serene and invisible light that does not blind you when you investigate the room. That is why we released the RGBW recessed spot. This RGBW recessed spot is ideal for restaurants, clinics, multipurpose rooms, and residential buildings that could use some atmosphere.

DMX spot

The RGBW spot is unique because it can be used for any situation, is Glareless and has a high colour authenticity (CRI + 95). The RGBW recessed spot can be placed in low foyers, a club, a closet, restaurants, etc. We often see lighting manufacturers either specialising in the looks of a spotlight or specialising in changeable light. There is no specialisation in either. That’s why we get many international requests for this because we at DYDELL have combined a minimalistic look with ‘state of the art’ lighting technology and specialise in this RGBW recessed spotlight.

UNIQUE RGBW RECESSED SPOT

As mentioned, the (RGBW) downlights fits into almost any room. The light produced by the built-in spotlight beautifully illuminates objects such as a cabinet, artwork, or a closet. The recessed spot illuminate objects from the ceiling, and because the RGBW recessed spot is so minimalistic, it is an inconspicuous presence in the home and requires a close look at where the light is coming from. RGBW recessed spotlights are therefore incredibly popular and a common choice in clinics, theatres, restaurants, homes, and other atmospheric environments. Besides being very small, the light source is strong and can create an atmospheric accent. A convenient bonus is that the recessed spotlight is also dimmable, and even changeable in white light and ambience. This makes the lighting even more user-friendly. DYDELL’s Glareless Pin Spot is a great example of a high-quality ceiling recessed spot. It can also be dimmed and change its atmosphere. To set and save the moods, DYDELL’s RGBW recessed spotlight can be controlled with control systems such as with DMX, Casambi, Bits2Power, Loxone etc. With these light protocols, it’s easy to save moods, and recalled pre-sets easily with a wall button.

At DYDELL, we specialise in developing and manufacturing high-quality LED light bulbs that can optionally change the colour of the light. A good example of this is the minimalistic trimless recessed spotlights. The RGBW recessed spotlight from DYDELL is ideal for when you want to illuminate certain objects in your home, office, or shop premises.
