PRO DMX CONTROL SYSTEM

This system has been developed for theatres, pop stages and other venues where a DMX control system is available. The LED light sources are connected to a DIN rail box with a 3-pole cable that feeds the lamps with 24 Volts. This also houses the DMX cable of the theatre allowing all DYDELL lamps to be dimmed perfectly with the DMX mixing console and providing the desired atmosphere.

HOW DOES THE DMX CONTROL SYSTEM WORK?

The powerful LED light sources such as LED spheres, line light, spotlights etc., are connected to a DIN rail box that feeds the lamps with 24 Volts with a 3-pole cable. For good communication, we recommend placing the light sources in a radius of 20 metres.  Every DIN rail box gets its own 230V power supply with power factor correction. Only the master DIN rail box is fitted with a DMX line from the theatre. Optionally, the DIN rail box can be extended with an emergency light module. If the voltage drops, all connected light sources switch on automatically within 5 seconds, all connected light sources switch on for one hour and generate 1 lux of light on the floor.

SETTING UP DMX CHANNELS

With DYDELL DMX software it is possible to appoint channels to the LED light sources. The LED sphere gets 10 channels (R+G+B+W + dimming x 2 halves), the RGB+W Powerline gets 5 channels (per segment) and the WW-LED light sources 3 channels (Cool white, warm white and dimming). The lamps can be controlled with the DMX control system that is available on site.

MANUAL CONTROL WITH DMX

If manual control is desired for example for the doorman or behind the bar, the DMX programme comprises “wall buttons” with which atmospheres can be created with a mixing console, which can then be called up manually.

CONTROL DYDELL DMX WITH KNX?

In order to control the LED lighting from DYDELL with a KNX control system the light sources are provided with DMX channels. A connection must then be made between the light sources and their KNX control system. This is done with a KNX gateway (the link between our system (DMX) to the KNX control system). Please ask your KNX expert to advise you on which gateway to use and how to program the desired ambiance in the KNX control system.

CONTROL DYDELL DMX WITH LOXONE?

In order to control the lighting from the LOXONE smart home system, the DIN rail box is connected to the Loxone “DXM extender” with a 3-pole DMX cable. Next, the DMX extender is connected to the “Loxone Mini Server” or “Loxone GO” with a “link communication cable”. The Loxone App can be used to adjust and control the atmosphere.
