Sufficient light and the right light have a positive effect on the wellbeing and the quality of life of elderly. In addition, bio dynamic lighting stimulates the day and night rhythms of older people. INFLUENCE OF LIGHT ON THE BIOLOGICAL CLOCK OF ELDERLY PEOPLE<\/h2>\n

Infirmity of old age unfortunately also means that eyesight decreases as the age increases. Both the lens and the cornea of older people become darker and more yellow and the pupils become smaller. In addition to the fact that the eyesight deteriorates, it has become clear that the reduced incidence of light on the retina during the daytime has an adverse effect on the maintenance of the sleep-wake rhythm. Over time, regulating the 24-hour rhythm of the human body deteriorates, especially in older people with dementia. A shortage of light stimuli disrupts the biological clock, i.e. the 24-hour rhythm of elderly which causes them to disorientate more quickly. A proper lighting ensures \u201cbetter vision\u201d and good control of the biological clock.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were <\/em>commissioned to take care of the entire interior design for the new care institutions to be opened in Bloemendaal and Son & Breugelreugel. Since \u201clight\u201d is a discipline in its own right, we hired DYDELL for this. Based on our interior design plan, DYDELL has drawn up a calculated lighting plan, which meets the lighting requirements applicable for elderly care. We prescribed the fixtures, DYDELL incorporated their light sources with a control system. The common areas have become wonderful and the lighting certainly contributes to this a lot. It gives atmosphere and at the same time there is enough light to have dinner or an activity. The cooperation went well, and we are proud of the results achieved\u201d.<\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n

DYDELL (BIO)DYNAMIC LIGHTING SYSTEM<\/span><\/h2>\n

Our light sources are successfully used in healthcare institutions, because they produce a lot of diffuse light and have a high colour fastness (RA95).
