The powerline, sometimes also called a LED line, can be used in almost any situation. Nowadays, line lighting is mainly used as indoor lighting, for example as functional lighting of warehouses, offices, and distribution centres, but line lighting is also used in the hospitality industry, theatres, and homes. The powerful, dynamic powerline is distinguished by its high light output with soft and spotless light. The powerline is used to illuminate cabinets or walls behind a sofa, as grazing light in coves and to indirectly illuminate the ceiling with wall lamps or pendant lamps. WHAT IS A POWERLINE?

Linear lighting consists of an anodized profile that is available in various sizes and shapes, such as the 25 x 25 mm, 35 x 35 mm, or the indirect wall profile, in which the powerline is finished with a UV-resistant finish cover. There is a powerline solution for every situation! By using LED linear lighting, you save energy costs. In addition, the CO2 emissions of your building or home will be reduced. Nowadays, the powerline is increasingly seen in the form of design lighting, but the light can also be used for other purposes.

The powerline contains a linkable system where 3 meters can be linked to each other, so that long lengths can be created for example, coves, theatres, etc. The distinguishing feature of DYDELL’s powerlines is that the beginning and the end of the line has the same stylish lighting. It is important to mention that the powerline must be supplied with 24 volts every 5 meters.

THE ADVANTAGES OF A POWERLINE

LED linear lighting has many important advantages compared to ‘normal’ lighting. To provide atmospheric lighting in a room, it is important to make a good combination between functional light and indirect atmospheric light. The powerline can be used for both functions. For example, if the powerline is hung on steel wires above a desk and dual white light is incorporated, you will receive both functional white light and warm white light and the powerline will illuminate the worktop evenly and functionally. This will increase your work productivity.

If you have a restaurant or catering business, the right atmosphere ensures more turnover. In this situation, the RGBW powerline is often used as indirect light by processing it behind a sofa, mounting it under a bar or in a cove. Indirect light is lighting that sweeps along a wall or shines towards the ceiling, indirectly sending the atmosphere of the light to you like a blanket of atmosphere. Indirect light really sets the mood for your home or restaurant. THE TYPES OF POWERLINES

At DYDELL we work with three types of powerlines, which can be processed in different LED profiles and are at least 20mm wide, such as the 25 x 25mm profile, the 35 x 35mm profile and the indirect wall profile.

SINGLE WHITE POWERLINE

The single white powerline is processed in single-colour white light. As a result, the powerline provides a nice basic light and can be dimmed perfectly. The single white powerline is available in various colour temperatures, such as 2700k, 3000k, 4000k or 57000k. With an external driver, the powerline can be easily operated and (optionally) perfectly dimmed with DALI or 0-10 volts.

DUAL WHITE POWERLINE

In the dual white powerline, both candle-white LEDs (2000K) and white (5000K) LEDs are incorporated. This makes it possible to create any desired functional and atmospheric ambiance with the same light source.

The powerline can be dimmed perfectly. When the control option “warm dimming” is selected, the light becomes warmer when it is dimmed. The dual white powerline gives 2150 lumens per meter with a power consumption of less than 35 watts per meter. The atmosphere of the dual white powerline can be dimmed and controlled with the wireless control system of Casambi, DMX, KNX or Loxone.

RGB+W POWERLINE

We offer the RGB+W LED powerline for theatres, restaurants, music venues, homes, and other environments, where both functional and atmospheric light are used. This powerline contains the highest quality white LEDs (2700K with RA 95) and coloured LEDs (RGB). The atmosphere of the RGB+W LED powerline can be dimmed continuously with the wireless control system of Casambi. The RGB+W powerline can also be controlled with DMX and via DMX with KNX or Loxone.

CASAMBI POWERLINE

DYDELL wants to offer more comfort and light functionalities with its lighting system. We have put together control options for the powerline that are tailored to your wishes and operating needs. From simply conjuring up a few atmospheres to integrating the light into an advanced smart home operating system such as Casambi. The Casambi LED line can be dimmed and adjusted perfectly.

With Casambi you get access to a very user-friendly free app that offers advanced lighting functionalities with the powerline, such as a group control system, setting and saving moods and timers and linking sensors and buttons. In addition, we offer many accessories such as wall knobs, with which you can manually create the desired atmosphere. The Casambi app is only used to set atmospheres. The Casambi control system is integrated into our powerline. The powerline only needs to be powered with 24 Volt. DYDELL offers a suitable solution for every situation.

HOW TO INSTALL A POWERLINE

When the powerline is processed as LED linear light, it is built up from various segments, depending on the desired length. Like a ‘train’, the lines are built up seamlessly into one LED line. The line is supplied as a single unit, with the entire powerline providing the same beautiful, even soft light. If desired, the powerline can also be controlled per segment and set to the desired atmosphere. It is also possible to set up our powerline as an emergency light module, for example in nightclubs. During a calamity proper functioning emergency lighting is important for the safe evacuation of a building. As soon as the power is lost, all connected DYDELL smart light sources switch on automatically within 5 seconds, allowing safe evacuation.
